Patch Notes

  • This hotfix is currently being deployed and will take a couple hours at the time of this post to hit all users.


    Gameplay


    • Adjusted Blood Wells so players can obtain Potent Blood that may fall within them. This is a temporary fix until we adjust this further in a future client patch.
  • HOTFIX 3 - November 13, 2023 - 1.2.

    Game Updates

    • The acquisition rate of Living Steel has been adjusted
    • Living Steel Chest in World Tier 3: Increased from 1 to 2.There is an additional chance for 1-2 extra Living Steels to drop.
    • Living Steel Chest in World Tier 4: Increased from 3 to 5.There is an additional chance for 5 extra Living Steels to drop.
    • All other Helltide chests will additionally grant 1 Living Steel in World Tier 4.

    Bug Fixes


    • Fixed an issue where Living Steel Chests could not properly spawn.
      • Developer’s Note: Part of this fix was to remove Living Steel Chest Guardian monsters. This improves the functionality of the chest for the time being, however we would like to bring the guardian back once we can ensure the interaction does not cause this issue.
    • Fixed an issue where some players could be prevented from logging in to the game with an error code stating the Season is over.
    • Fixed various issues where players could not properly complete Season Journey Objectives.

    • Fixed an issue where Virtual Currency values wouldn’t automatically update when purchased in-game by Steam players.
  • HOTFIX 5 - November 20, 2023 - 1.2.2

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where the Mother’s Blessing event was only granting 25% instead of 35% bonus experience and gold. This now grants the correct amounts.
      Developer’s Note: The tooltip in-game will continue to say 25% instead of 35%, but we can confirm that the correct amount of bonus experience and gold (35%) is now being granted after this hotfix.

    A quick few notes prior to the 1.2.3 update coming to Diablo IV on Tuesday via a same day server side hotfix.

    The Melted Heart of Selig will no longer count as the player spending resources when resource is drained from damage taken in PvP zones.

    We are doing this because of an interaction that is causing some performance issues for players. Per our earlier commitments, we will make our best efforts to not nerf builds during the Season and we are only applying this as it is impacting player game performance.

    For Season 3 this will be fixed for all areas outside of PvP as well.

    Separately, when 1.2.3 hits, we will have a known issue with advanced tooltips on the Tears of Blood glyph where it will show bonuses as additive. The icon is incorrect and it is actually multiplicative. That will also be noted in the hotfix notes for Tuesday.

    Game Updates

    • Paragon Glyph experience rewarded from the Abattoir of Zir has been increased, with significant increases for higher tiers.Examples:
      • Tier 1: Unchanged(1000)
      • Tier 5: 1800 → 2800
      • Tier 10: 3900 → 11600
      • Tier 20: 11900 → 65400
      • Tier 25: 17800 → 117100
    • Bloodseekers can no longer spawn with the Vampiric or Suppressor Affixes.
      • Developer’s Note: This affects both Bloodseekers encountered throughout Season of Blood content as well as Abattoir of Zir.
    • We’ve restructured the earlier tiers of Abattoir of Zir, and the experience now begins with a difficulty close to that of Tier 90 Nightmare Dungeons. The Monsters continue to rapidly scale, reaching a similar difficulty of Nightmare Dungeon Tier 100 by Tier 5, and matching the current Live difficulty tuning by Tier 10. Additionally, we’ve reduced incoming damage by up to ~20% throughout all Tiers of Abattoir of Zir.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue related to leveling Glyphs in the Season Journey.
    • Performance and stability improvements.
