Cloud Gaming: Microsoft koppelt Project xCloud an den Xbox Game Pass

Microsofts Cloud-Gaming-Dienst xCloud wird nicht separat erhältlich sein. Zugang bekommen stattdessen Nutzer des Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Microsoft wird seinen Cloud-Gaming-Dienst Project xCloud an sein Spieleabo Xbox Game Pass koppeln. Das geht aus einem aktuellen Blog-Eintrag von Microsoft hervor. Kunden des Xbox Game Pass Ultimate werden den Cloud-Gaming-Dienst demnach ohne Aufpreis bekommen.

Für Abonnenten des Game Pass Ultimate ist das eine gute Nachricht: Sie zahlen so viel wie vorher, können aber zusätzlich MIcrosofts Cloud-Gaming nutzen. Wer den Game Pass Ultimate nicht abonnieren möchte, schaut allerdings in die Röhre: Zumindest zum Marktstart wird man xCloud nicht separat buchen können, sagte Xbox-Chef Phil Spencer dem Technikmagazin The Verge.

Project xCloud ist Microsofts Antwort auf Googles Stadia, Nvidias GeForce Now und Sonys Playstation Now. Nutzer können unterstütze Spiele von Microsoft-Servern auf Endgeräte streamen. Derzeit werden vor allem Android-Handys und eingeschränkt iPhones unterstützt, eine Windows-Version ist aber ebenfalls in Arbeit.

Deutscher Marktstart unbekannt

In Deutschland kann man sich seit April für die Beta des Cloud-Gaming-Dienstes anmelden. In den USA soll xCloud im September zum Game Pass Ultimate stoßen. Dieser Releasetermin gilt aber nicht zwangsläufig für Deutschland – es ist möglich, dass es bis zum Marktstart hierzulande länger dauert. Microsoft macht dazu bisher keine Angaben. xCloud unterstützt in der Preview-Version laut Microsoft derzeit über 50 Spiele.

Durch die Einbindung des Cloud-Gaming-Dienstes will Microsoft den monatlich 13 Euro teuren Game Pass Ultimate zu einer Art Rundum-Sorglos-Paket für Xbox Fans machen: Schon jetzt umfasst er ein plattformübergreifendes Abo aus über 100 Spielen, das regelmäßig um aktuelle Titel von Microsoft ergänzt wird.

Der von vielen Fans erwartete Shooter Halo Infnite wird ebenfalls direkt zum Marktstart im Game Pass enthalten sein, schreibt Microsoft in dem Blog-Eintrag. Auch Xbox Live Gold, das zum Spielen von Mehrspieler-Titeln auf der Xbox One benötigt wird, ist Teil des Abonnements. Die günstigeren Versionen des Game Pass werden vorerst keinen Zugang zu Project xCloud bieten.

CLOUD GAMING WIRD ZU ULTIMATE

Am 15. September wird Cloud-Gaming Teil von Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Mit Xbox Live Gold und über 100 Spielen, die auf Konsolen-, PC- und Android-Geräten gespielt und entdeckt werden können, wird Xbox Game Pass Ultimate immer besser.

MS hat die längerfristigen Subscriptions für Xbox Live Gold bereits eingestellt, das wird es wohl für die Neue Xbox nicht mehr geben und fällt dann wohl auch für die alte weg, stattdessen wird man wohl den Xbox Game Pass brauchen

EA Play ist nun im Xbox Game Pass ohne Aufpreis drin. Seit ein paar Jahren gibt es das Xbox All Access in den USA und das wird zum erscheinen der Xbox Series X und S um 12 Länder erweitert aber Deutschland ist NICHT dabei(u. a, Spanien, Frankreich, United Kingdom..). Evtl gehört Deutschland zu den Ländern die dann 2021 noch dazu kommen.

Xbox All Access ist quasi sowas wie nen Handy gesponsert beim Provider kaufen. Es läuft über 24 Monate man bekommt eine Xbox und den Game Pass Ultimate dazu und zahlt dann monatlich 24.99/34.99$ XBox Series S/X (Einzelpreis 299/499$). Zieht man hier die monatlichen Kosten für den Pass ab ist das eine Ersparnis von 20$(X) oder 60$(S), als wenn man Konsole direkt und den Pass monatlich bezahlt.

Microsoft previously shared that Xbox Cloud Gaming, formerly known as Project xCloud, is launching on September 15 in 22 countries as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Today, Microsoft confirmed that Xbox Cloud Gaming will include over 150 games at launch.

This includes first-party and third-party titles, with some games from Electronic Arts being added in the months to come as EA Play joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate sometime in Holiday 2020. Xbox Cloud Gaming is only available on Android at launch after Apple blocked Project xCloud from continuing to be tested on its iOS platform.

Microsoft: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate nun mit Cloud Gaming

Microsofts Spiele-Abo Xbox Game Pass Ultimate beherrscht jetzt Cloud Gaming. Mit der Funktion lassen sich 172 Spiele streamen – aber nur auf Android-Geräte.

MIcrosofts Cloud Gaming "xCloud" ist nun Teil des Game Pass Ultimate. Abonnenten des Spiele-Abos können jetzt 172 Videospiele von Microsoft-Servern auf ihr Android-Mobilgerät streamen. Voraussetzung ist neben dem Abonnement ein Android-Gerät mit OS-Version 6.0 oder neuer.

Als "xCloud" hatte Microsoft seinen Cloud-Gaming-Dienst lange als Beta-Test angeboten – als separaten Dienst. Nun wurde "xCloud" plangemäß in Microsofts Spiele-Abonnement Game Pass Ultimate integriert. Eine Möglichkeit, Microsofts Cloud Gaming einzeln zu buchen, wird derzeit nicht angeboten.

Cloud ohne Aufpreis

Zu den Spielen, die mit Xbox Game Pass Ultimate auf Android-Handys gespielt werden können, gehören zum Beispiel "Grounded", "Hollow Knight" und "The Witcher 3". Eine komplette Übersicht der Cloud-Spiele gibt Microsoft in seinem Blog.

Microsoft arbeitet derzeit daran, sein Cloud-Gaming auch für Windows-Systeme anzubieten. Eine iOS-Version scheitert laut Microsoft noch an restriktiven Richtlinien im App Store des Apple-Betriebssystems.

Ein Aufpreis wird für Abonnenten des Xbox Game Pass Ultimate nicht fällig: Nach wie vor kostet das Abonnement 13 Euro im Monat. Abonnenten haben neben dem Cloud Gaming weiterhin Zugang zu lokal ausgeführten Gratis-Spielen für PC und Xbox. Sie können außerdem auf ihrer Konsole die Online-Funktionen von Xbox Live Gold nutzen.

Nicht im Standard-Abo

Die Cloud-Gaming-Funktion steht ausschließlich Abonnenten der Ultimate-Fassung des Game Pass zur Verfügung. Die beiden Standard-Varianten des Game Pass – im Gegensatz zur Ultimate-Version werden sie für PC und Xbox-Konsole separat angeboten – kosten regulär zehn Euro im Monat. Derzeit wird die PC-Fassung noch vorübergehend vergünstigt für 4 Euro im Monat angeboten.

Microsofts Cloud Gaming ist die Antwort auf Dienste wie Google Stadia und GeForce Now. Auch Sony bietet mit Playstation Now bereits einen Cloud-Dienst für Nutzer seiner Konsolen an. Im Vergleich zu diesen Diensten unterscheidet sich das Microsoft-Angebot darin, dass es Cloud Gaming als optionales Feature in einem größeren Gesamtpaket versteht – und Nutzer dafür nicht zusätzlich zahlen müssen.

Wer den Ultimate bekommt jetzt nen 30 Tage Disney+ einen Probezugang als "Perk". Bis zum 1.2.2021 kann man den Perk anwenden, ich denke das es am meisten lohnt dies ab Mitte Dezember zu tun, dann ist The Mandalorien Season 2 durch WandaVision im Gange Mulan im Streaming inkludiert und Soul(=Pixar nächster grosser Film) drin.
